Birth & Labor

Making ready for labor and birth may be all that you had hoped and dreamed of. You imagine your baby’s birthday as joyous and easy. On the other hand, getting ready and prepared for birth can be very overwhelming. It may cause fears, uncertainties, and challenges to surface.

This is where I step in to let you know that you can and you don’t have to do this alone. I am confident in my ability to support you and your team to have the birthing experience you desire. I absolutely love being a birth doula. It is an honor to serve families and journey with them while experiencing the time of their life.

It is such a sacred milestone that I do not take lightly.  Being knowledgeable about the culture of the place you decide to birth is necessary and very important. Having insight about policies and procedures makes you more aware as a patient. From 20 weeks until birth/labor, we will (included but not limited to) :

SUPPORT JUST FOR YOU

Services can include, but are not limited to:

  • Utilize that time creating a customized birth plan 

  • 1-2 in-person to attend prenatal doctor’s appointments or discuss your birth preferences

  • Phone/email support throughout your pregnancy to discuss preparations for your birth

  • Attendance at your labor/delivery to include emotional, physical, breastfeeding, informational support

  • In-home visit after your baby is born to discuss feeding, sleep issues, and other questions

  • Phone/email support to troubleshoot questions until your baby is one month old.

When you choose to allow me to service you, you are choosing to be well supported by a passionate trained doula that believes in you and believes in birth. I also believe in choices and aim to provide evidence-based, current research so you have all the information you need to make the right choices for you and your baby.
